Now in their 28th year, the Technology Impact Awards (TIAs) were held at Vancouver’s Science World to a sold-out crowd. The TIAs Gala marked the exciting return to an in-person format, while the show was also streamed LIVE to the greater BC community.
“It was wonderful to come together as a community and experience the excitement and energy that erupts when hundreds of passionate people share their stories and successes,” said Jill Tipping, TIAs co-host and President & CEO of the BC Tech Association (BC Tech). Innovation and inspiration were the two themes of the 2021 TIAs, and through the evening’s celebration 44 TIAs finalists across 11 categories were honoured (source: Techcouver).
Export Company of the Year is awarded to an organization that is succeeding on the world stage through the export of technology developed in BC. The award was accepted by LMI Technologies’ representatives Chi Ho Ng (Vice President of Technology), Mieke Bolder (Vice President of Finance), and Sean Grant (Director of Operations) [below - left to right].
