The new Gocator 2610 and 2618 models deliver the highest resolutions in the Gocator 2600 4K+ series. Custom optics and a powerful 9-megapixel imager deliver 4192 data points per profile for high-resolution 3D scanning and inspection of microscopic features in precision manufacturing applications such as Consumer Electronics (CE), EV Battery, and Semiconductor production.

The Gocator 2610 achieves up to 2.5 micron X resolution for markedly improved detection and measurement of the smallest surface features, components, and assemblies found in high-precision manufacturing applications such as Consumer Electronics (e.g., USB-C Connector Pins) and Semiconductor (e.g., BGAs). That’s a 57% increase in maximum X resolution over the Gocator 2410 at 5.8 microns.
The Gocator 2610 features telecentric optics to maximize data quality at increasingly fine X resolutions, even on shiny targets. Unlike diverging laser fans in non-telecentric systems, the rays from the laser illumination of the 2610 are always parallel to the measurement direction. This results in less “shading” (or occlusion in the X axis), particularly at the extremes of the sensor’s field of view, and has the benefit of improved scanning performance on highly reflective machined-metal and flat glass surfaces by minimizing unwanted laser scatter. Gocator 2610 also generates excellent data quality on transparent and black glue applications (e.g., in cell phone assemblies).
The Gocator 2618 is a premium model engineered to achieve 5 µm X resolution at 20 mm X field of view for high-density profiling across a wider laser line. This is a 37% improvement in X resolution and 53% improvement in X FOV compared to the popular Gocator 2510. The 2618 allows engineers to scan and inspect EV Battery cells and small CE parts at higher X resolutions (5 microns) and wider FOV (20 mm); solve occlusions with a larger clearance distance (47 mm); generate highly dense 3D scans of battery cells for pre-weld gap & flush measurement and carry out post-weld surface defect detection.
Gocator® offers native support for multi-sensor networks from 2 sensors up to 24, with on-sensor pairing, point-and-click alignment, and automatic image stitching. After scanning, Gocator® outputs a single, high-density 3D point cloud ready for measurement. Users can even capture 360º of a scan target, or multiple views, by mixing different 2600 sensor models that optimize for field of view and resolution.
What’s more, all Gocator® 2600 series sensors are built on LMI’s leading smart sensor design architecture, which includes an easy-to-use web-based interface, on-sensor measurement tools, data processing, I/O connectivity, native multi-sensor networking, and more. The result is the simplest, most cost-efficient 3D sensor solution on the market requiring the fewest number of sensors and no external controllers.
