Explore the advanced 3D scanning capabilities of LMI Technologies' Gocator sensors. In this demo, we walk through several real-world inspection examples to showcase the precision and flexibility of our technology. First, we scan a BGA array using the Gocator 4010. With a 1.9-micron X resolution and excellent angular response thanks to its coaxial confocal design, the sensor captures detailed top-surface data with no loss of information. Next, we demonstrate how the 4010 handles curved glass—showing how well it captures sloped, reflective surfaces without shadowing. The data is stitched into a complete surface model, ideal for full-object inspection. We also dive into glue track inspection using our custom-developed track tool. The system easily detects multiple measurement points along a single glue path, including wall height, peak profile, width, and area. Once a track is defined, the tool can automatically register and reuse that setup on future scans—making recipe creation fast and repeatable. Then we show a pin connector scan using GoPxL’s batch processing features. Instead of manually setting up each inspection point, the software allows you to define one tool relative to a reference point and automatically apply it across the entire array—saving significant setup time and increasing consistency. This demo was recorded at our Cupertino TKH Vision Center, where we showcase a variety of Gocator sensors and GoPxL tools.
