FOR THE MOST COMPACT AND COMPLETE DESIGN
While line profilers triangulate in the direction of web travel, multi-point scanners triangulate along the length of the material (i.e., multi-points are coplanar). This means they see the rising and falling edge of materials, whereas line profilers may not. Multi-points also use less space on the scanner frame (say 4-6″) than line profilers (typically 2-3′).
FOR CONTINUOUS SCANNING IN WEB APPLICATIONS
In addition to transverse board scanning, the Gocator 200 series can be used in a variety of web applications such as metals, veneer peeling, and textile manufacturing. In these applications Gocator offers onboard processing and multi-sensor networking capability to build high-definition 3D data models for material optimization.
