chroma+scan 2400 Series for Log and Lineal Edger Optimization Applications

Fast, High-Density Scanning with Superior Dynamic Range

The chroma+scan 2400 series is ideal for delivering 3D shape of boards and logs, at fast scan rates with a wide dynamic range capable of handling black material (e.g. wet logs) in challenging lighting conditions typical of sawmills. The chroma+scan 2400 series includes three models: the 2440 and 2460 for lineal scanning applications transported by headrig carriages or end-dogging systems, and the 2430 model for scanning of boards in lineal edger applications.

Rapid, Multi-Point 3D Profiling

When chroma+scan 3155 sensors are both top and bottom mounted in the same vertical plane, they provide true differential thickness without being affected by board bounce. Plus, LMI's extensible 3D scanning platform integrates multiple sensors into one 3D scanning system, which can deliver real-time data via Gigabit Ethernet.

chroma+scan 3250 for Coplanar Scanning with Tracheid Detection

Get all the same functionality of the chroma+scan 3155 for profile scanning in transverse applications, with the additional capability to detect tracheid effect. The chroma+scan 3250 scans tracheid cells in the wood fibre at 500 Hz, measuring for magnitude and direction (a dot vector). The data collected is used to rapidly identify areas of good vs. defective wood (eg. knots).

Multi-Point 3D Profiling with 2D Color Imaging

The chroma+scan 3350 sensor integrates high-density 3D profiles with sub-millimeter 2D color imaging to get the highest value from every piece scanned. The sensor's color vision capability also detects defects at incredibly high accuracy and detail. Designed to produce highly accurate and reliable data, these high-performance sensors help generate optimal throughput for today's high-tech mills.
