Overview

The MikroCAD SDK is a library for controlling MikroCAD scanners.

SDK examples

This Microsoft Visual Studio solution file (SDK_Examples.sln) contains 4 small example projects to show case the use of the MikroCAD SDK. Each project is self contained and stored in a folder named after the project.

The folder layout of the SDK is as follows:

\SDK
\Bin -> contains necessary dll, lib files, also target for example executables
  \SDKExample
SDK_Examples.sln -> SDK solution file containing the 4 projects
       \brightness
brightness.vcxproj -> Project file for the example brightness app
brightness.cpp -> source code for the example brightness app
    \camera_image
camera_image.vcxproj -> Project file for the example brightness app
camera_image.cpp -> source code for the example brightness app
      BITMAP8.cpp
      BITMAP8.h
    \measure_image
measure_image.vcxproj -> Project file for the example brightness app
measure_image.cpp -> source code for the example brightness app
      BITMAP8.cpp
      BITMAP8.h
    \measure_points
measure_points.vcxproj -> Project file for the example brightness app
measure_points.cpp -> source code for the example brightness app
\SDKInterface -> Header files for the API interface

brightness

Sample application that shows to initialize a MikroCAD sensor and interactively set the brightness on any level between lowest and highest brightness setting.

camera_image

Sample application that shows to initialize a MikroCAD sensor and record and save a live camera image to a BMP file named "liveimage.bmp".

measure_image

Sample application that shows to initialize a MikroCAD sensor, start measurement acquisition and generate the following image files: "3dres.bmp": image containing the height data scaled to 8bit (255 heights) "3dres_texture.bmp": image that contains the texture 8bit gray scales "3dres_valid.bmp": image containing the valid data as bitmap stored as 8bit

measure_points

Sample application that shows to initialize a MikroCAD sensor start measurement acquisition and generate a 3D point ASCII point file named "result3dlist.txt".

Notes

For the examples run successfully it must be ensured that the Basler and AVT camera driver are installed in their specific version Basler: Basler pylon x64 4.2.0.4240.exe AVT: AVTVimba_v1.3_Windows.exe (v. 1.3.0.13805) Also add the directories contanign the camera runtime dll's to the PATH variable.

The MS Visual Studio solution and project files have been generated using the freely available Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2013 Edition. For more information see: https://www.visualstudio.com/
