Thanks to the new Easy Scan feature, FlexScan3D automatically determines the best exposure for an object, ensuring quality results every time.
Cut Plane is a new feature of FlexScan3D 3.3. Users ca now capture cleaner scans during the scan acquisition stage. FlexScan3D software permits users to define a background plane and eliminate it automatically in all subsequent scans of the same object. This drastically reduces the amount of time needed to clean scands during the post-processing stage.
Using a multi-scanner setup is especially useful for scanning a part that requires fast scan speed and maximizes object coverage by increasing the field of view using multiple scanners. This video explains the benefits of using multiple scanners for scanning and inspection applications.
Aligning 3D scans into a digital 3D model typically requires the user to manually rotate a 3D scan into a similar orientation in close proximity to the reference scan before the scans will align properly. Aligning scans into a digital 3D model has significantly improved with the use of the mesh geometry alignment. Two scans will align automatically even if the scans are in not close in proximity or in different orientations. The alignment process now requires less user interaction.
This simple demonstration shows how the Gocator 3D smart snapshot sensor functions as part of an all-in-one 3D inspection system. The Gocator facilitates measurements of multiple features in just one scan. It can quickly acquire high-resolution full field scans for inspection of multiple part features with full 3D visualization. What makes the sensor "smart" is its ability to make 3D measurement and control decisions (alerts, sorting, pass/fail) wihtin a single pre-calibrated device.
